Composite veneers or composite bonding as it now commonly referred to are thin layers of composite resin that are placed directly on the front surfaces of teeth in order to change the appearance of your smile.

Teeth that are discoloured, chipped, rotated, or spaced can be transformed with veneers. Composite veneers are placed directly on the teeth often with no drilling or injections.

The goal of composite veneers is the same as porcelain veneers, but the materials, techniques, and timeline and longevity are different.

  • During the first appointment, a briefing of the desired outcome is discussed, at the same appointment impressions are taken for the artists in the laboratory to design your smile makeover.
  • At the second appointment the trial smile is conducted, this is an opportunity to see the smile design on your teeth before confirming you are ready to proceed to composite bonding/ veneers.
  • At the third appointment the teeth are prepared, and tooth coloured filling material is placed on the front of the teeth and shaped to the desired form that was previously agreed with your trial smile.

The material is finished and polished to a life-like shine. A later review and polishing appointment may be necessary.
